Responsible AI Policy

Last updated: 5 November 2026

We help Australian businesses use AI to work better, and we hold ourselves to clear standards when doing it. This policy sets out how we design, build and recommend AI solutions. It is guided by Australia's AI Ethics Principles and the Voluntary AI Safety Standard.

Our commitments

1. People stay in control

We design AI to support people, not replace their judgement. Solutions that affect customers, staff or important decisions include appropriate human review.

2. Privacy and security by default

We minimise the personal information AI systems can access, prefer Australian-hosted options where practical, and never use member data to train AI models.

3. Honest about what AI can do

We recommend AI only where it is likely to deliver real value, and we are clear about its limits, costs and risks.

4. Transparency

We help you tell customers and staff when they are interacting with AI, and we document how each solution works.

5. Fairness

We test for unfair or biased outcomes in solutions that affect people, and we fix issues we find.

6. Vendor-neutral advice

We recommend the right tool for your needs and disclose any partner or referral relationships.

7. Accountability

Each solution has a named owner, and we keep records of key design decisions and risk assessments.

What we won't build

Raising a concern

If you have a concern about an AI solution we have built or recommended, email hello@aussii.au. We take every concern seriously and will respond promptly.
